Banner Ad Marketing Campaigns

Banner ads were the most popular form of Internet Marketing Campaign in the early to mid 1990's. However, as banner ads are a form of "push" marketing - like any other form of traditional (broadcast) marketing campaigns today, they have given way to a more socially accepted approach of internet marketing strategy of providing information "on demand" when requested through search engines. Banner Ads currently receive, an industry standard, of less than a 0.5% click-through rate (CTR).
